BackerKit Locked and Charged, Fulfillment Planning Underway
over 3 years ago – Tue, Mar 02, 2021 at 06:28:07 PM

Hello, backers!

February is behind us, and April fulfillment draws ever nearer. BackerKit is fully locked down and charged, so we have all the final numbers in hand, at last. Let's see where things stand.

Fulfillment Update

The first part of fulfillment will be coming down the line later this week: digital artwork downloads! We've got all of the art in the campaign in 1440p, and are just getting the files ready to go. You'll be able to access those through BackerKit soon, and you'll get an email notifying you when they're ready.

In terms of physical rewards, we've got parts sourced and suppliers lined up, so it's just a matter of finalizing the orders and getting everything in that we need for the project. That's all in progress, which leaves us on track to produce and begin shipping in April, as planned.

Wyrm Lyfe / Dice 2.0

Recent episodes of our vlog, Wyrm Lyfe, have detailed some of what we've got in store for our next campaign... a follow-up to the Dice by Wyrmwood campaign! We've got a LOT planned, and we're really excited about it... we're going bigger and better, and we think you're going to love it.

Stay Tuned

More information to come soon. We'll keep you posted as the beginning of fulfillment draws ever nearer!

BackerKit Locking Down! Charges & Fulfillment Next Steps
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Feb 02, 2021 at 05:10:42 PM

Hello everyone!

BackerKit was set to lock down yesterday, January 31st - however, it appears as though there are still some stragglers and we wanted to give them just a little bit more time. So we've extended it a couple of days.

You should all have already received a 48-hour reminder from BackerKit today, informing you that your order will be locked on Wednesday. Following that, orders with outstanding balances will be charged according to schedule on Friday of this week, February 5th, so keep an eye out for that. If you have any last minute questions or need help with your order, now's the time to reach out and let us know!

Next Steps

Later this week, we'll be able to get together and plan out the production timeline for fulfillment. We'll have more information soon on how that all looks. Fulfillment is set to begin in April, in just a couple short months. If February and March go by as quickly as January did, it'll be here before we know it!

For now, just be sure to hop on and make any last minute changes, double-check your order one last time, and submit it when it's all ready. From then on out, it's all up to us!

BackerKit locks down in TWO WEEKS!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jan 17, 2021 at 11:48:25 AM

Hello out there!

Back with a quick update as we edge closer to fulfillment on this project!

Lock Down & Outstanding Balances

We're checking in with a final reminder that BackerKit surveys for this project will be locking down at the end of this month, just about two weeks from today. A bit over 100 surveys remain unanswered, so please get your responses in soon, so we don't have to risk your order being delayed.

After lockdown, we'll move on to processing all outstanding charges on orders, which will take place on Monday, February 8th. So you should expect to see charges come through on that date, or slightly after if processing is delayed.

Wyrm Lyfe: Season 7

Our vlog, with new episodes out every Wednesday and Friday, is back after a brief, end-of-year hiatus. The first episode covered the wild roller-coaster that was 2020, and the first all-new episode of the season premiered Wednesday. A new episode is set to arrive later today, but you can watch Wednesday's episode below:

Thank you for your support!

BackerKit Locking Down January 31st!
almost 4 years ago – Wed, Jan 06, 2021 at 07:20:21 AM

Hello, everyone!

We don't have much to report, so this update will be brief, but we did want to check in with everyone and wish you all a happy new year! Hard to believe 2020 is over... it seemed like it would be with us forever.

As a reminder, BackerKit surveys will be locked down at the end of this month, so be sure to fill it out completely as soon as possible, if you haven't already. While 94% of orders are in, a bit less than 200 people have yet to confirm. So, please, be sure to do so if you're in that group!

It's a relatively quiet time for us, and many of you, as well - the rush of the holidays is over, and there's a bit of a lull before things pick up for the new year. We hope you're taking some time to rest - it's certainly something we all need. In any event, we hope the holidays have treated you well, and we're grateful for your support, as always.

If you've got any questions leading up to lock down, now's the time, be sure to hit us up and we'll be happy to help. Otherwise, look out for a final reminder or two as we close in on the 31st, and then production can begin - fulfillment is slated for April, and it'll be here before we know it.

Countdown to Fulfillment
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Dec 01, 2020 at 10:30:04 PM

Hello, everyone!

Well, we're officially in the quiet period for this campaign. We're gathering information and responses via BackerKit, where about 90% of you have filled out your survey! Thanks to everyone that's done so so far.

We'll continue to send reminders to the remaining 10%, and remember, up until the surveys are locked - slated for end of January - you can change and add to your order at any time.

Campaign Trends

It's always exciting to see surveys start to come in on a project. You never really know what the most popular items will be, and it often isn't necessarily what we expect. We thought we'd highlight some of the trends we're seeing with the Corrupted Collection this time around:

"Gotta Have It" Award: This one goes to the most popular add-on by far, Corrupted Prismatic Dice. Whether a full set or just a d20, over 1,000 backers have snagged these enchanting polyhedrals.

"Eye of the Beholder" Award: Our most popular Art Tray by a wide margin, Crystal Sully's Midnight Dragon design takes the prize, and it's easy to see why. Meanwhile, Frank Frazetta's classic Death Dealer was the most popular of his pieces in the campaign. It's no surprise - the painting remains one of his most iconic works. Also quite popular, Frazetta's Skull King and Crystal's Kraken Hunter, with approximately 7 in 10 of the Art Trays being one of these four designs.

"Captain Obvious" Award (or, the "I'm Not Coffin, You're Coffin!" Award): Among our Coffin Vaults and Trays, the Wenge with Turquoise has proven to be far and away the most popular, surprising no one. From the first time we tried it, we felt it was a great combination, especially for Halloween-themed pieces. Hundreds of you agree - and you all have excellent taste, if we don't say so, ourselves...

We look forward to the final numbers coming in. For those of you that have filled it out - thanks again! For those of you still waiting to get around to it - please get to it as soon as you can. You should have a reminder email soon. I know, you're thinking, "eh, I'll get to it later," but the thing is, it's very easy to forget to do it later. Later is when you're doing other stuff. Remember? But you haven't forgotten it yet, because we're still talking about it, right? So maybe you should, before you...

You're long gone, aren't you? Oh well. *sigh*

Seriously, we know you're busy. Just get to it when you can, and before January 31st, and you'll be good. :)

Halloween & Christmas & 2020, oh my?

When worlds collide! Here we are, after a long, long year, entering the home stretch of 2020. A lot has happened, and it's been tough on everyone. But we do hope as the holidays continue, you can take a little time to rest, breathe, and prepare for a new year. Reflect on the things that matter most to you, with the people that matter most to you - whether that's in person or remotely.

Our next update, barring anything coming up sooner, will be on the 1st day of a brand new year. And that's a nice thought. I mean, maybe it's me, but this one seems to have overstayed its welcome just a bit.

All the best, everybody - we'll be in touch soon.
