Latest Updates from Our Project:

Fulfillment Update, April 2021
almost 3 years ago – Sat, May 01, 2021 at 07:22:13 AM

Hello, everyone!

Well, we've reached the last day of April, which marks the end of the first month of fulfillment. How are we doing? Read on for details.

Fulfillment Update

We sent out a brief update earlier this week, to coincide with the launch of our latest project, Dice by Wyrmwood & Dispel. This update doesn't have a great deal of news beyond what was in there, but we do have a minor update over the past few days.

As estimated earlier this week, less than 50 April orders remain unshipped. The majority of these remaining orders contain limited edition prints, which we are receiving as soon as they are ready, signed and numbered. Crystal Sully is working on that now, and needed a bit more time to make sure the print quality was where it needed to be. I am expecting these relatively soon. The other unshipped orders are the Masterwork Mausoleums, which took a bit more time. The good news is that the Mausoleums for April are complete, and will ship out on Monday.

Kickstarter Policy

Wyrmwood has a standing policy of sending a $25 Gyft Certificate to backers that have their orders shipped out later than the final day of the estimated fulfillment month. We will be following this policy for this campaign, so the remaining ~50 orders of April will include this certificate with their orders.

This Gyft Certificate can be used for anything on WyrmwoodGaming.com by entering it during checkout. Alternatively, we are happy to apply the balance to any other active Kickstarter campaign (currently, Dice by Wyrmwood & Dispel is live). To use your Gyft Certificate on a Kickstarter project, please send us a message and we will be able to take care of it for you. One note: the certificate CANNOT be applied during the campaign itself, and must be applied to BackerKit. For full details, please contact us via direct message.

Affected backers, look for the certificate enclosed with your order.

April is Over, May is Beginning

While we're going to be late with a handful of the April orders, does this mean May is going to be even later? Thankfully, no. Once we have the prints settled, we will have ALL of the prints for the campaign in hand, and the Mausoleums for May are well underway, as well. We have also built a good portion of the stock for the May orders already. In fact, on some items, we've already produced enough for the entire campaign! So fulfillment as a whole is looking very good - I look forward to sharing updated information with you in a couple of weeks.

Thank you for your support, and I hope the hundreds of you getting your April pledges are enjoying them! I'll be back in a couple of weeks to let you know how May fulfillment is progressing.

New Project Alert: Dice by Wyrmwood & Dispel - Launching NOW!
about 3 years ago – Wed, Apr 28, 2021 at 12:58:09 AM

Hello everyone!

We will be back with a regularly scheduled update later in the week, but we wanted to take a moment to let you, as a recent backer of our work, know about the new project we're launching today, in just a few minutes!

This project is a first for us, in that we're collaborating with another brand, Dispel Dice to bring a new collection of dice into the world. We're also bringing back some favorites from our first dice campaign, as well as some new materials to expand our gemstone and glass offerings even further. Not only that, but by backing, you'll be taking part in our attempt to break a Guinness World Record! Want to know more?

Click here to check it out - it goes live right here on Kickstarter at 2:00pm Eastern time: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wyrmwood/wyrmwoodxdispeldice

Corrupted Collection Mini-Update

We know, you might have questions. "A new project? But this one is still fulfilling!" And that's fair! However, one important thing to note about Wyrmwood is that we have distinct teams, all with different roles and responsibilities. While the bulk of our staff is on production and fulfillment, we also have design and marketing departments, and while our production staff is busy fulfilling projects, the task of the design and development team is to keep us moving forward, and plot where we're going to go next.

Fulfillment on this new project will start in November of this year, well after all outstanding projects, including the Corrupted Collection II, are fulfilled.

With that said, how is fulfillment going on this project? Glad you asked!

The vast majority of April pledges have been shipped, and we are on track to complete almost the entirety of the tier this week. We may have a handful of orders - 20-50 at most - that are held up, but we are doing everything we can this week to reduce that number.

Things are generally looking very good for the rest of fulfillment, with all of the standard prints, dice and t-shirts already in stock for the bulk of fulfillment, and a good bit of the Wyrmwood stock needed for future waves already produced. Again, more details in our end-of-month update coming later this week, but things are generally very positive, with few issues encountered.

Thank you for your support, and we hope you enjoy checking out our latest project with Dispel Dice! We've had a blast putting it together, and both of us are excited to unveil this new collection of dice to the world today.

Fulfillment is Underway!
about 3 years ago – Sat, Apr 17, 2021 at 12:08:23 AM

Hello, everyone!

Fulfillment has begun, and we've got some numbers to talk about, so if you're into that... great! If not... sorry. Either way, let's get to it.

Fulfillment Process and Progress

Fulfillment has begun on the campaign, and to date we have shipped out nearly 400 packages. I say "packages" rather than "orders" because we have a unique situation in this campaign, because of art prints.

In the interest of making sure art prints arrived safely, we decided to ship them separately from everything else in backer orders. This means splitting orders in our shipping software, so that any backer ordering one or more prints would have TWO orders in our system. In addition, in the interest of efficiency and giving backers a good experience, we made one other decision: if you ordered an art print, we're not necessarily going to wait until your fulfillment month to ship it.

The reasoning here was fairly simple: first, all art prints are shipping separately, anyway. We are getting the last orders in shortly for these, and then we will have all the prints necessary for the whole campaign (it doesn't make sense to order them in small batches). Rather than attempt to store prints in a wood shop for several months, when we're splitting these shipments anyway, we're just going to ship them all out as quickly as we can.

So, if you backed on Kickstarter for an art print and are in a May or later tier, you will very likely get your art print early. The rest of your order, however, will ship out according to schedule.

In terms of April shipments, we have 365 shipped, with 624 more waiting to ship. That puts us at over a third of the way shipped through the first tiers (and about 15% through the campaign as a whole). We are getting in the final supplies we need to step on the gas - namely, the special order boxes for our Coffin Vaults and Coffin Trays, and the last of the prints from Crystal Sully, who is working on signing and numbering the limited editions before sending them on to us. Once those arrive, we'll be good to fulfill the remainder of the tier. All of these are expected to arrive within about a week or so, so things look good on that front.

Masterwork Mausoleum Update

We've been working on the initial waves of the Masterwork Mausoleum, as well. Due to the fact that we opened this item up to anyone that wanted one, we had some concerns about being able to keep these shipping in their intended waves, but looking at the numbers, this shouldn't be a problem. Of course, we'll let you know if that changes. Obviously we'll do our best to hit the target, either way, but everyone that wants one of these high-end pieces will be able to order one.

That said, production on these is proceeding nicely. We do have one note - we had to adjust course slightly from the planned materials. Osage Orange was not available in the quantities we needed, and has been swapped out for another wood that was, one called Yellow Mora. However, they are virtually indistinguishable, as you can see from the following photo of the two - some vendors even refer to this timber as "Argentine Osage Orange" due to the similarity:

Osage Orange on the left, Yellow Mora on the right, BOTH unfinished

[Note that finish will darken the entire piece, which is why the sample on the left doesn't resemble  the finished product photos.]

Total Masterwork Mausoleums in this run: 13, naturally!

Given this similarity, we are making the switch across the board and not going to be tracking down Osage Orange, as it just wasn't available in the quantities we need. As always, please get in touch if you have any concerns or questions, but we're confident you'll love these finished pieces.

Fulfillment Continues!

That about does it for the update. We'll check in at the beginning of May to let you know how things are proceeding. Thank you for your support, and we'll be in touch!

Fulfillment Beginning Soon: Make Those Address Changes Now!
about 3 years ago – Thu, Apr 01, 2021 at 08:14:32 PM

Hello everyone!

As the title says, it's now April, and we're gearing up to begin fulfillment soon. And, no, it isn't an April Fools' joke. But why am I telling you this, when I can show you instead?

Addresses Locking Down

As it stands, we're looking like we'll begin shipping within the next couple of weeks. As a result, we are LOCKING ADDRESSES for April backers on Monday, April 5th. Please make any last minute changes to your address before then!

That about does it for this one - short but sweet. We look forward to finally getting these items in your hands, and thank you for all of your support and patience.

Quick Update: Pre-orders charging Monday, March 8th
about 3 years ago – Fri, Mar 05, 2021 at 06:59:08 AM

Hello, everyone!

Apologies for this quick update for our pre-order customers (late backers), who also receive all of our updates. Now that pre-orders are closed for this campaign, we'll be going ahead and charging those to catch them up to the rest of the campaign pledges. Pre-orders will be charged on Monday, March 8th.

Again, this only applies to pre-orders, not those of you that pledged to the campaign - you're all already paid up, this just settles for the whole project and will allow us to smoothly move through fulfillment from the first wave to the last pre-orders.

Thank you, and we look forward to beginning fulfillment in just a few weeks!
